WHY DOES BAD THINGS HAPPEN

While this question is difficult to answer, there are  Scriptures as to why a loving and just God would allow suffering.

We start with the first account of murder, in Genesis 4, we see that Cain had the inherent intention of killing his brother, Abel. Outside of God’s will, and despite a clear warning, Cain still chose to kill Abel .

Looking at James 1:2-3, which reads, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance,” .

WHY IS BAD PEOPLE FORGIVEN

The Bible makes a very clear distinction that forgiveness and justice are two separate things. From 2 Corinthians 5:19, where “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them”, to Colossians 2:13, which says “He forgave us all our sins”, and Hebrews 8:12, which promises “I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more,”

PRAYER

Prayers lift our spirits by reminding us that, “Every good and perfect gift is from the  Father.” (James 1:17)

Confession – We all mess up.  That’s why we feel sorry when we’ve done something wrong  Confession is the act of admitting our guilt, regrets, and confusion to the One who wants to help us make it right  We join the rest of the human race in saying “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” (Luke 18:13) And He will.
