The Ridge Church was founded on July 13th, 2008. It was first located on the Garrett Shortcut in Berlin, PA. It originally started out with 5 members before outgrowing its location. The church then moved to its current location on Berlin Plank Road. The Ridge Church has many areas to be involved in and be able to participate in good Godly fellowship. We have multiple ministries for all to participate, and are active in supporting missionaries around the world.
Pastor Dan & Cheryl Judy are the pastoral staff at the church. They have been there for 15 years. The have been married for 36 years. They have a daughter named Deziree, her husband Kyle and their daughter Danni. They have a son named Braxton and his wife Mercadese. Pastor Dan’s father, Floyd Judy, is an active member at the church as well. They are originally from the Somerset County area and are active member’s in their local community.
Pastor Dan Judy has dedicated over 35 years to serving the community through ministry. His journey includes a successful career in insurance, where he managed a multi-million dollar operation with over 3,200 commercial accounts. Despite this success, Pastor Dan felt a higher calling and willingly gave up his business network to fulfill his purpose in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Dan has worn many hats:
Choir Director – He led the congregation in worship through music.
Youth Leader – for over 11 years, as he mentored a guided young people to achieve spiritual access with Jesus Christ.
Sunday School Teacher – His teaching impacted countless lives.
Associate Minister – Serving in this role for six years, he supported the church community.
Now, Senior Pastor of the Ridge Church – His leadership spans over 15 years. His guidance and gifting have been blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Dan ministers to those incarcerated and need to be liberated, offering hope and compassion alike. His caring approach has helped many individuals on their path to recovery and renewal in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Dan and his amazing wife, Cheryl Judy, love interacting with people of all ages. Their commitment to love and nurture all humanity, as reflected in the church motto, makes them a valuable asset to the Ridge Church and family of God.
